3 Fun Things To Do In Tenerife

Stefan Hartley July 14, 2023

The captivating island of Tenerife in the Atlantic Ocean offers plenty of fun opportunities, both on land and at sea. From experiencing its spectacular natural beauty to engaging with local customs, feasting upon delicious cuisine, or taking part in those awesome pool parties in Tenerife, there’s a lot to enjoy here.

Whether it’s simply sun tanning on a beach or scuba diving around a beautiful reef, this popular Canary Island paradise will leave an unforgettable impression on all who journey there.

That said, here are three fun things you can do in Tenerife, something which you can add to your bucket list for 2023!

Visit The Teide National Park

Quite possibly the best thing to do in Tenerife is to visit the national park, called Teide National Park. This place has been a part of both UNESCO and the Natura 2000 Network and is currently considered a World Heritage Site.

The reason for that is the jewel of this national park, which is Mount Teide. Standing approximately 12,190 feet high, this stunning volcano can be seen from miles away and is one of the most breathtaking sceneries to look at in all of Europe.

Stroll Through Santa Cruz De Tenerife

Being the capital city of the island, Santa Cruz De Tenerife is a must-visit place on this canary island, and there are a lot of reasons for it. Firstly, there’s a lot of historic value to the city itself, with a history-rich auditorium available in the centre of the city.

In addition, the capital also boasts the largest collection of palm trees in the Palmetum, which is a sight for sore eyes after a long trip to the island.

Visit Benijo

Tenerife is known for its beaches, pool parties and boat parties, and if you’re someone who likes partying and beach vibes, Benijo Beach is the perfect place to visit.

This is because Benijo Beach isn’t like any other beach out there. It boasts black volcanic sand and is surrounded by a forest trail of Pista el Draguillo. In fact, it’s a common place for nude beaching events, and if that’s your style, visiting Benijo Beach is worth it.

However, if that isn’t your style, there are other beaches, like Las Teresitas Beach, a white sand beach near the capital, where you can enjoy the serene views and pool parties that the capital has to offer.

Take Home

There are a lot of fun things to do in Tenerife, and whether you’re going there to lay your eyes on the historic-rich views or indulge in pool parties that will have you wasted for days, there’s a place for every tourist out there.

Make sure to do your research before going into Tenerife, and make a checklist of the places you want to visit and the things you want to do. Don’t limit yourself to the list provided above – Explore this canary island to your heart’s content, and make the most out of your trip to Tenerife!
